GETTING YOUR BENGAL-ID
All LSUE faculty, staff and students are required to have a BENGAL-ID campus card. As the official ID card of the campus, your BENGAL-ID card should be carried at all times. Campus offices may require that you show your card before receiving services.
NEW STUDENTS Upon admission to the university, new students may pick up their BENGAL-ID card. The BENGAL-ID Office is a unit within the Office of Information Technology located in room 105 of Manuel Hall. During orientation sessions and registration periods card services will move to the Acadian Center. Regular office hours are between 8:00am and 4:30pm with extended hours during registration. There is no charge to receive your first card. Students will be charged $5 to replace lost or misplaced cards. Card privileges will not become active until your tuition and fees for the semester are paid. CONTINUING STUDENTS Continuing students with an existing LSUE ID Card (does not say BENGAL-ID across the top) can and should continue using this card. It will however need to be reprogrammed to work with the new services. Staff members will be re-encoding cards during registration periods in the Acadian Center. During non-registration periods, students can have older cards re-encoded by stopping by room 105 of Manual Hall. Regular office hours are between 8:00am and 4:30pm with extended hours during registration. Students will be charged $5 to replace lost or misplaced cards. There is no charge for the required re-encoding. Card privileges will not become active until your tuition and fees for the semester are paid. FACULTY AND STAFF All faculty and staff members will need a new BENGAL-ID card beginning Fall Semester 2005. This is necessary to fully implement the new services offered through the card. |
